Materiale Nanocompozite cu Proprietăţi Ajustabile – Lider de echipă:  Dr. Ioan Ovidiu PANĂ

Echipa de cercetare are expertiză în obținerea şi caracterizarea materialelor compozite nanostructurate magnetice şi/sau semiconductoare, nanoparticule metalice şi hibride filme subțiri semiconductoare şi multistrat (feromagnet/semiconductor) depuse prin PLD. Abordarea acestor tematici se face atât din punct de vedere fundamental (fenomenelor de interfață) cât și aplicativ. Aplicațiile tehnologice abordate sunt: protecția mediului, terapia fotodinamică, agenți de contrast în imagistică medicală, hipertermia magnetică, micromagneți cuplați prin schimb, elemente fotovoltaice, înregistrare magnetica etc.

Echipa CDI Materiale multifuncționale și compuși biologic activi are expertiză în domeniul materialelor avansate și desfășoară activități de cercetare ce vizează obținerea, caracterizarea și testarea aplicațiilor nanostructurilor hibride funcționalizate, materialelor polimerice și a compușilor bioactivi cu proprietăți controlate.

Laboratoare de preparări chimice

  1. Laborator chimie compuși anorganici
    Laboratorul are ca obiect de activitate prepararea de materiale nanostructurate și nanocompozite multifuncționale, cu structură și proprietăți controlate, aplicabile în diferite domenii, de la medicină, mediu, electronica s. a.  Materialele preparate sunt nanocompozite, cu diferite arhitecturi, pe bază de nanoparticule metalice, nanostructuri magnetice şi/sau semiconductoare.
  1. Laborator de sinteză materiale polimetrice şi hibride
    Laboratorul este dotat cu aparatură de ultimă generație destinată realizării sintezelor de materiale polimetrice și de preparare a materialelor hibride multifuncționale cu proprietăți ajustabile aplicabile în medicină, separare magnetică, industria farmaceutică, mediu etc. Aceste materiale sunt fie nanostructurate fie macrostructurate.

Echipament de Spectroscopie de fotoelectroni (XPS, UPS) de înaltă rezoluție; Produs “SPECS” (Berlin)

Spectrometru de rezonanță de spin (RES) dual band pentru probe solide si lichide cu accesorii; Bruker ELEXSYS E 500

Spectrometrul este echipat cu două punți de microunde: una în bandă X (9 GHz) și una în banda Q (35 GHz); un electomagnet care generează un câmp maxim de 1 T (banda X), respectiv 1,5 T (banda Q); un goniometru care permite rotirea probei în câmp magnetic; două unități de temperatură variabilă care permit masurători în domeniul 4K-300K și 77K-500K.Sistemele tipice care pot fi studiate prin RES sunt: (i) ioni ai metalelor tranziționale și ai pământurilor rare; (ii) radicali liberi; (iii) defecte punctuale (imperfecțiuni localizate în cristale).

Fotodensitometru pentru cromatografie pe strat subțire

Măsurători de reflexie, fie în mod absorbantă sau fluorescență; Dimensiunea plăcilor: maxim 200 x 200 mm; Domeniul spectral: 190 – 800 nm; Viteza de scanare: 1 – 100 mm/s; Operat cu software – CATS.

Cromatograf de lichide de înaltă performanţă (HPLC), cuplat cu detector PDA şi MS, SHIMADZU

Detectori: PDA (photo diode array) şi MS (mass spectrometer); Sursa de ionizare: ESI (electrospray ionization); lucreaza în mod pozitiv şi negativ.

Spectrometru FT-IR JASCO 6100 cu accesorii (a) şi  Microspectometu FT-IR, JASCO IRT 3000(b)

(a) Domeniu spectral 7000-350 cm-1, rezoluţie 2 cm-1 Accesorii: H-ATR şi de reflexie speculara la incidenta (unghi de incidentă 30º şi 80º).

(b) Domeniul spectral depinde de obietivele utilizate; aria de investigare 200 μm, rezoluţie spaţială 1 μm.; Pentru probe neomogene cum ar fi material picturale, copolimeri, etc.; Spectroscopie FTIR cu mapare în transmisie şi reflexie folosind obiective adecvate.

Este echipat cu  lampă de xenon de 150 W, domeniu de lucru200-900 nm, rezoluție de 1 nm; este dotat cu software specific.
